2 Ways to Make a Right Hook In Content

Summary

  • There are two ways to make asks in content: integrated and intermittent.
  • An integrated approach means mentioning your offer naturally during your content, like saying, "Hey, if you want to learn more, go to $100 Million Leads."
  • The integrated approach is like a commercial of your own stuff but feels natural and seamless.
  • The intermittent approach is better for short-form platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok.
  • With intermittent asks, you might post 10 regular pieces of content and then on the 11th, you talk about your services, like credit repair.
  • Right after the ask, you return to your regular content, maintaining the flow for your audience.

How To Take Action

I would suggest implementing two approaches when promoting your business or personal brand through content: the integrated approach and the intermittent approach.

First, let's talk about the integrated approach. This is when you naturally weave in mentions of your products or services while you're already discussing a related topic. For instance, if you're a fitness coach talking about exercises on a YouTube video, just casually mention, “If you want more in-depth workouts, check out my training program online.” It feels seamless and not like a hard sell, making it comfortable for your audience.

Next, there's the intermittent approach. This works particularly well on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok. Imagine you’ve posted 10 pieces of content that provide value without asking for anything in return. On the 11th post, you switch it up and talk about your service or product, like how you offer credit repair. Then, go straight back to your usual helpful or entertaining posts. This way, you don't overwhelm your audience with too many asks, keeping them engaged and less likely to unfollow.

Both methods are low-cost and can be incorporated easily into your existing content strategy. By mixing these approaches, you provide value first and then, occasionally, remind your audience of what you offer in a non-intrusive way. This balance is key to maintaining your audience's trust while still marketing your business.

there's two ways that I've seen asks work in content there's an integrated approach and there's an intermittent approach an integrated approach would be like during the content I'm like hey if you want to learn more about this stuff go to $100 million leads and you can go check it out that would be an example of an integration right it's natural it comes up as you're talking and then you can point to it and you get back to what you're saying right it's a commercial of your own stuff the other way is intermittent is typically better for short form platforms so if you have let's say 10 Instagram posts or 10 Facebook posts or 10 Tik Tok reels on the 11th one maybe you make one that's a little bit more about your credit repair services that you offer whatever it is and then you go right back to the pre-programmed show
