Don’t Lie to Yourself…

Summary

  • I often see people claim they want success, but their actions don't match their words. They aren't willing to make sacrifices to achieve their goals.

  • People say they would do anything to work for me or my companies, but when faced with reality, like moving to Las Vegas, they hesitate. This shows a lack of true commitment.

  • To succeed, you need to be willing to make changes, whether it's relocating, traveling, sacrificing weekends, or having tough conversations.

  • Success requires being uncomfortable and inconvenienced. If you're not willing to embrace these challenges, you're not truly pursuing your goals.

How To Take Action

I would suggest starting by matching your actions to your words. If you claim you want success or to work with someone, show that commitment by backing up your words with actions. This might mean embracing uncomfortable situations or changes.

A good way of doing this is by being open to necessary changes and sacrifices, like relocating if needed. If moving isn't an immediate option, consider starting with smaller sacrifices that show dedication, like reallocating weekends for focused work or skill development.

Make a habit of having tough conversations—whether that's negotiating better terms, discussing difficult topics with partners, or seeking feedback. Getting comfortable with discomfort is key. It’s through facing challenges and inconveniences that we truly grow.

Consider setting clear goals with actionable steps. Write down what you’re willing to sacrifice and plan how to address barriers to your success. Break it into smaller goals, and remember, it’s the consistent, small actions that add up to big achievements.

Reflect regularly. Ask yourself: Are my actions aligning with my goals? If not, consider adjusting your approach. Being honest with yourself will help identify where you need to push harder.

Lastly, surround yourself with people who are committed and willing to make the same sacrifices. This kind of support can make uncomfortable changes more manageable and keep you accountable on your journey to success.
