Easy to Sell, Hard to Deliver
Summary
- Sometimes, it's easy to sell things that are really hard to fulfill.
- For example, if I offer "done-for-you" services like managing all of someone's social media, it sells easily but is hard to deliver.
- On the other hand, a course is usually harder to sell because many people offer them, but it's easier to deliver.
- I try to find things that are both easy to sell and easy to fulfill.
- This approach allows for scaling up sales effectively.

How To Take Action
I would suggest implementing strategies that combine easy sales with simple delivery. This helps you grow without getting overwhelmed.
Low-Cost, High-Value Tips:
-
Assess Your Offerings:
Look at what you’re currently selling. Are these services or products easy to deliver and fulfill? For example, if you're offering a service like social media management, it may sell well but can be hard to maintain. Simplify your high-maintenance services or consider alternatives. -
Create Simple, Scalable Products:
Think about what you can offer that is easy to fulfill. For example, a digital course or an e-book takes effort initially but is easy to maintain. Focus on topics you have expertise in and that solve a clear problem for your audience. -
Mix Your Offers:
Develop a mix of offerings. Combine a product that's easy to fulfill with one that may be harder to sell but adds value. For instance, a digital course could come with an optional one-hour consultation. This enhances value without overextending yourself.
-
Market Smarter:
Use your existing customer base to market new offerings. If you have a loyal audience, they're more likely to try a new product. Email newsletters and social media can be effective tools for this. -
Feedback Loop:
Gather feedback on your new offerings. This not only helps you improve but also makes your customers feel valued and contributes to loyalty.
By focusing on these strategies, you can scale your business while keeping delivery manageable.
