How To Take Action
I would suggest focusing on your personal goals rather than trying to outdo your competition. This means you have to know what your ultimate vision is. What do you want to achieve? What's the best version of you or your business? Write these down and make them your guide.
A good way of doing this is by staying a bit unsatisfied with where you are now. It sounds funny, I know, but think of it like a game where you're always leveling up. You're already doing well, but you want to reach your true potential, right? So, in your mind, picture where you could be and let that push you forward.
To avoid just staying slightly ahead of your competitors, set your own standards. What's something unique you can offer? Is there a special way you can do things that sets you apart? Focus on that. Be the one who starts new trends instead of just following them. Create your path that's so cool that others will want to follow it.
Remember, you're the leader of your own race. If you're always looking back at the competition, you can trip up. Keep your eyes on the prize – your own goals. In time, your competitors might even start using you as their benchmark, which means you're doing something right! But don't worry about them; just keep doing your thing, your own way, and you'll always be ahead.
