How Much Money Are You Making?

Summary

  • It's essential to ask direct questions to understand someone's financial situation because it helps tailor goals effectively. This includes asking about their business revenue and personal earnings.

  • Many people are unaware of their actual financial status. It's important to encourage them to check and understand it, such as by logging into their bank account, to get a clear picture.

  • People often avoid sharing their problems, which prevents them from confronting the seriousness of their situation. By openly discussing issues like weight gain, financial struggles, or personal pain, individuals can make them real and actionable.

  • To genuinely help people and drive them to take action, they need to face the reality of their circumstances. This confrontation is the first step in creating meaningful change in their lives.

How To Take Action

Implementation Strategies

  1. Ask Direct Questions About Finances: I suggest starting by asking yourself or others direct questions about your financial situation. Find out how much you’re earning and what your business revenue looks like. This clarity lets you set achievable goals that fit your real situation.

  2. Understand Your Financial Status: An easy way to do this is by checking your bank account regularly. Log in and look at your balances so you know exactly where you stand. Many people don’t know their exact finances, and having this knowledge helps make better decisions.

  3. Address Personal Challenges Openly: If there’s something you’re struggling with, like weight gain or a lack of money, talk about it openly. Sharing these challenges makes them real, and it’s a key step toward finding solutions. It might feel hard, but it’s necessary for change.

  1. Confront Reality to Drive Action: Face your current situation, even if it’s uncomfortable. By acknowledging your circumstances—good or bad—you start the process of meaningful change. It helps you accept where you are and figure out where you want to go.

  2. Take Small, Actionable Steps: Once you know what your reality is, take small, manageable steps toward your goals. These don’t have to be time-consuming or costly. It could be as simple as setting a weekly budget or scheduling regular check-ins with yourself about progress.

By following these steps, you’ll begin to make realistic and impactful changes in your personal life or business.

10 years ago when I'd be taking sales calls I would ask people I'd say so how much money are you making and they'd be like oh why why would you ask me that question like well how can I help you tailor your goals if I don't know how much money you're taking out of your business right now and so people would say well I don't know how much money I'm actually taking out of my business I don't know how much money my business makes I would say great what bank to use Bank of America great let's pull it up right now let's log in and tell me how much money is in there a lot of people have a problem and they don't tell anybody about it so because of that they don't confront how bad it really is so when you have to share how much weight gain when you have to share how little money you have when you have to share how much pain you're in it makes it real and here's the thing if we actually want to change people's lives and we actually want people to take action then they have to confront reality
