How Often Do I See My Friends?

Summary

  • I prioritize my work and see most of my friends only once or twice a year, understanding that we're all busy.
  • I maintain relationships where there are no social obligations, allowing me to focus on my goals without distractions.
  • If I don't respond to a text for a few days, my friends don't make it a big deal because they respect my time and commitments.
  • Surround yourself with people who support your ambitions and want you to succeed, even if it means less frequent contact.

How To Take Action

A good way of doing this is to have a talk with your friends. Explain to them that you are really focused on your goals right now. You don't want to hurt their feelings, but you need to work a lot. Tell them that you might not always answer texts right away. But it is not because you don't care about them. It is because you are busy trying to succeed.

Another suggestion is to choose friends who are also busy and working toward their own goals. They will understand better. They won't get upset if you can't meet them all the time. These friends will cheer you on. They know what it's like to work hard for what you want.

If someone keeps getting mad at you for not answering right away or for not hanging out a lot, it might be good to think about whether they are helping or hurting your journey. You want to be around people who help you go up, not who pull you down.

Finally, when you do have some free time, make it count. Spend it with people who care about your dreams. Doing this means that even if you see each other only once or twice a year, you will still be close.

Remember, it's not about having a lot of friends or hanging out all the time. It's about knowing who is really there for you. Those are the friendships that will make you better.
