How to Be Consistent…
Summary
-
I often hear people say they can't be consistent with losing weight. But the truth is, they are consistent in overeating. Recognizing this can help you understand where you need to make changes.

When trying to achieve new results, consider what you are currently doing consistently that might not be helping. You may need to replace those habits with new, more beneficial ones.
-
I did not rely on positive visualization for motivation. Instead, I used my negative emotions, like anger, to fuel actions that would improve my life.
- You can channel negative feelings into productive actions. Redirecting this energy can lead to positive changes in your life.

How To Take Action
I suggest starting by recognizing any habits you always do, even if they aren't helpful. For example, if you overeat regularly, notice that this is a habit. It's important to see these patterns first, so you know what to change.
A good way to make positive changes is to swap out these unhelpful habits for better ones. So, if you overeat when stressed, try taking a walk or drinking water instead. Small changes are easier to keep up, and they add up over time.
Another idea is to use your negative emotions, like anger or frustration, to push for good actions. If something makes you angry, use that energy to tackle a project or exercise. This can turn what feels bad into something that helps you grow.
To make these changes, write down the habits you want to change and then list what you can do differently. Start with one small change and practice it until it feels natural.
Finally, remind yourself of your progress by keeping a journal. Write down every time you successfully replace a bad habit with a good one. It’s a great way to see how far you’ve come and stay motivated.
