I Did 100 Math Problems Everyday

Summary

  • I tackled a huge personal challenge to get into business school by aiming to score above Harvard's median on a standardized test.
  • Initially, my test scores were not even close to the target.
  • To improve, I purchased every relevant study book from Barnes & Noble, ending up with a large stack.
  • Focusing on math, which was my weak area, I committed to solving 100 problems a day.
  • This intense practice routine was followed for four months straight.
  • The relentless effort paid off, and I was able to surpass the score I needed on the test.
  • My experience demonstrates that a rigorous and disciplined approach can help you excel in any area you're determined to improve in.

How To Take Action

I would suggest starting with identifying your weakest area, just like I did with math when prepping for my business school entry test. Zero in on what you need to get better at.

Once you know your target, go out and grab all the resources you can, just like I got every study book from Barnes & Noble. You don't have to spend a lot. Use books, online materials, or even free tutorials available on the internet.

Next, make a plan that forces you to work on your weak points every single day. For me, it was doing 100 math problems daily for four months. You should set a similar goal for yourself. It can be something smaller, but make sure it's a daily habit.

Remember, it's about relentless effort. If you stick to your practice routine, you'll definitely get better. Like how I surpassed my goal on the test—that same grit can help you crush any challenge you face.

So if you want to improve in anything, be it your business or personal growth, carve out time every day for focused practice on that specific skill. It's that discipline and consistency that will take you from where you are to where you want to be. Keep your efforts intense and don't give up—no matter how tough it gets or how far off your goal seems. Keep pushing, and you'll get there.

I did a 100 math problems every day so there was this standardized test I had to pass to get into business school and I wanted to score above Harvard's mid score but my score wasn't above Harvard midth score not even close and so I bought every book at Barnes & Nobles it was a stack this big and I went to the math section which was my weakness and I did every problem in there in all eight books over four months and by the time that I took the test I was able to score above that and it was pure violence and I think you can apply that to whatever it is you want to get good at
