I Did Everything I Hated to Get Here
Summary
- I've done tons of work I absolutely hated, for a long time, without support, and faced plenty of people trying to tear me down.
- Some people think they should emulate the luxuries of success, like flying private, instead of focusing on the hard grind it takes to get there.
- It's easy to get caught up in mimicking the superficial aspects of successful people, but the real progress is made during the tough climb, not at the comfortable summit.
- Despite my current position where I can do things I love, it's the result of persisting through tasks and periods I did not enjoy.
- Don't be misled by the end perks of success; it's the relentless, often unenjoyed labor and resilience against naysayers that truly forge your path to the top.

How To Take Action
I would suggest starting with the not-so-fun stuff. See, everyone loves the idea of success, but the truth is, it's built on a stack of tasks you might not enjoy. Start doing the things that are necessary, even if they're not exciting or glamorous. This is where real progress happens.
A good way of doing this is by keeping your head down and focusing on the work, not the rewards. Don't get it twisted by chasing after the shiny perks of success, like flying private. That comes later, if at all. The climb to the top is tough, filled with work you might not like, and people who might try to knock you down. Push through that.
Remember, hard grind is key. Here’s what you can do:
- Write down the essential tasks for your goal, even the ones you don't like.
- Schedule these tasks into your day. Make them a priority, not an afterthought.
- Avoid distractions that look like success. No pretending, just doing.
- When someone tries to tell you it's not worth it, keep going. Prove them wrong with action, not words.
- Keep in mind why you're doing this. The end goal isn't to live luxuriously—it's to achieve something you care about.
Ingrain these habits daily. They might be low-cost when it comes to money, but they're heavy in willpower and discipline. That’s what you need to make it to the top. It's about sticking it out during the grind. So don't just admire successful people for the luxuries they have. Instead, mirror the tough journey they had to endure to get there. That's your ticket.

I did a fuckload of I hate and I did it for a very long period of time and I did not have anyone to root me on and in fact I had many people who were actively trying to destroy my path and tell me why I was a terrible idea it's the difference between oh I should fly private because that's what rich people do I should play basketball because I want to be tall and modeling the behavior at the top of the mountain rather than the climb and I don't blame the people who do this is they see their current life like I would see mine and say well what do I do now I do everything that I love but I didn't get here doing everything that I love
