I Learn More Quickly by Doing This
Summary
- When I look back, my success comes from being willing to fail.
- Early on, I spent too much time reading and thinking instead of doing.
- I learned more in one week of taking action than in three months of just thinking.
- Now, I test every idea as quickly as possible.
- This approach applies to diets, communication with my spouse or team, and business strategies.
- I suggest finding ways to test ideas in a short, one-week period to see if they work.

How To Take Action
I would suggest implementing the habit of testing ideas quickly. Instead of spending too much time thinking about changes in your business or personal life, make small changes and see what happens. You can learn more from a week of trying something new than from months of just thinking about it.
A good way of doing this is by taking one idea and creating a simple test for it. For example, if you’re trying a new marketing strategy, set up a small campaign for one week. Measure the results and decide if it’s worth continuing or if you need to try something else.
In your personal life, this could apply to your diet or exercise routine. Instead of reading different diet plans for months, pick one and stick to it for a week. See how you feel and adjust accordingly.
Communication is another area where quick testing works well. If you have ideas on improving communication with your spouse or team, try one suggestion for a week. Pay attention to any changes and if it’s effective, keep using it.
The main idea is to reduce the time you spend in your head and increase the time you spend doing. Quick, small tests can give you the information you need to make decisions without a huge investment of time or money. This way, you can adapt and grow faster, whether it’s in your business, relationships, or personal habits.
