If I Built a Nose Strip Company…

Summary

  • When launching a brand, I would connect with notable figures like UFC fighters and NFL players to expand the brand’s reach.
  • I would include myself in photos with these figures to make the brand feel bigger and not just tied to my name.
  • By integrating multiple celebrities, the brand can attract fans from each of these figures, increasing its appeal.
  • To achieve this, you need money to get these figures on board, as financial incentives are key.
  • If you don’t have money, you need to convince people by offering shares or other forms of compensation, which can be complex and dilute the business’s value.
  • Big brands often operate this way; for example, LeBron James didn't get shares of Nike but received a billion dollars in cash.

How To Take Action

I would suggest implementing a few simple yet powerful strategies to grow your brand without needing a lot of money or time.

Network Strategically

A good way of doing this is by connecting with influencers or notable local figures in your industry. You don't need to go after big names like UFC fighters or NFL players right away. Start small with local influencers who have a dedicated following. Approach them and propose a mutual promotion deal that benefits both sides.

Visualize Partnerships

Whenever you collaborate with someone, take photos or create content that includes both of you. This makes the brand seem bigger and more connected. Post these on your social media and website, showing that your brand is associated with other credible figures.

Leveraging Multi-Influencer Appeal

Integrate multiple influencers to broaden your brand’s appeal. Each influencer brings their own audience, giving you access to a diverse range of potential customers. This increases the perceived value and reach of your brand.

Low-Cost Compensation

If you don't have money to offer upfront, think creatively about how to compensate your partners. Offer them exclusive early access to products, a percentage of sales from their referrals, or even products from your brand as incentives. This way, you avoid diluting your business’s value while still engaging with influential partners.

Build a Sustainable Model

Consider using a small budget to create mini-campaigns with several influencers, testing which ones bring the most engagement. This approach lets you scale up gradually without overcommitting financially.

By focusing on these actionable steps, you can effectively grow your brand’s reach and appeal on a limited budget, utilizing time and resources efficiently.
