How To Take Action

I would suggest implementing these strategies to manage your time better and invest it wisely.

Prioritize Personal Boundaries

  • Decline Unwanted Invitations: If you don't want to go to weekend plans or any event, just say no. Your time is yours, and you don’t owe it to anyone just because you are available.
  • Guard Your Free Time: When your calendar is empty, it doesn’t mean it’s free for others to fill. Be protective of your time.

Optimize Time Investment

  • Value Your Time: Understand that even if you don’t have money, your time is extremely valuable. Think of it as your main currency.
  • Self-Improvement Focus: Spend your time on activities that improve you or get you closer to your goals. Read, learn new skills, exercise, or focus on your business.
  • Say No to Low ROI Activities: Resist the urge to give your time to people or activities that have a low return on investment. Ask yourself if spending time on this will bring you closer to your goals.

Practical Time Management

  • Schedule Self-Improvement: Block time in your calendar specifically for self-improvement activities. Treat these like non-negotiable appointments.
  • Limit Unproductive Commitments: Before you agree to meet someone or attend an event, consider whether it adds value to your life. If not, decline politely.
  • Reflect on Time Usage: Take a moment each week to review how you spent your time. Identify activities that didn’t contribute to your goals and adjust accordingly.

By applying these strategies, you can ensure that your time is invested in activities that yield the highest returns for your personal and professional growth.

reminder for anyone internally debating weekend plans if you don't want to go don't go just because you have free time doesn't mean anyone who asks for it is entitled to it if you see that you have an empty calendar most people assume that if someone asks you for that time it's therefore theirs and it's only not theirs when someone else has claimed it which means that your time only belongs to other people and then you're surprised by the fact that your investment of time has yielded nothing for you when you've given the only and most valuable asset that you have to everyone else who often give a very poor return on it for you in the beginning if you don't have money the only thing you have is time it's the only currency you can spend to improve yourself or get closer to your goals and so if that's the one currency you have then why on Earth would you give it away
