It Only Feels Impossible…
Summary
- Losing 100 pounds seemed impossible and truly daunting at first.
- I was afraid to even weigh myself, worried about not seeing any progress.
- I started at 220 pounds, knowing I had to make a serious change.
- The strategy was simple: eat like someone who's losing weight and exercise like them too.
- I embraced the laws of physics, accepting that calories in versus calories out would guide my weight loss.
- I had to break a cycle of wanting change but fearing I wouldn't know how to achieve it.
- My fear made me apprehensive, but I realized I couldn't let the fear of being an exception stop me.
- Instead of succumbing to doubt, I took action as if I believed success was possible.

How To Take Action
I would suggest starting small and simple, just like I did with my weight loss journey. The strategy is all about doing the little things that someone successful would do. Let’s break it down into a plan that you can use for personal growth or your business:
Face Your Fears: Don't be scared to look at the truth, like I was afraid to weigh myself. For your business or personal goal, face the reality of where you are. This could mean reviewing your finances or admitting you need to develop a new skill.
Simple Changes Matter: Just like eating and exercising like someone who’s losing weight, make small tweaks to your daily routines. If you want to grow your business, do something each day that moves you forward, even if it's as simple as reaching out to a new contact or improving your website.
Believe in the Process: Accept the principles that success is built on, like I accepted calories in versus calories out. Trust that consistent effort over time will get results. This could mean believing in the value of good customer service or continuous learning for personal growth.
Break the Cycle: Stop the cycle of wanting change but not acting due to fear. Take a small step today toward your goal. If you’re an entrepreneur, maybe it’s trying out a new marketing idea. Personally, you might read a book in an area you want to improve.
Act As If: Move forward like you believe success is possible, just like I chose to exercise and eat right regardless of my fears. Pretend you are already the person you want to become – whether that’s a savvy business owner or a lifelong learner. Your actions will start to align with your goals.
By taking these small but powerful steps, you tailor the actions to your own goals and start making progress. It's the low-cost, high-value way to build momentum and create change.
