Summary

- By working with others, I saw what good leadership looked like and learned from their failures.
- I watched others make mistakes and it helped me avoid making those same mistakes myself.
- I always wanted to be part of something big and work within a team.
- To reach my big goals, I might need to take on more partners and accept having a smaller stake in my businesses.

How To Take Action
Implementation Strategies for Small Businesses, Entrepreneurs, and Personal Growth
Leverage Previous Job Experiences
I would suggest reflecting on any jobs you've had before starting your own business. Think about the good qualities in leadership and the mistakes you saw. This can give you a clear idea of what to do and what to avoid.
Learn from Others' Mistakes
A good way of doing this is by reading books or watching interviews of successful people in your field. Pay attention to the challenges they've faced and the solutions they found. Make a list of these mistakes and strategies to avoid repeating them.
Partnerships and Team Building
If you have big goals, consider taking on partners even if it means having a smaller share. Start by reaching out to people who complement your skills. For example, if you're good at sales but not at accounting, find someone strong in that area.
Focus on Learning Over Freedom
In your early stages, prioritize learning over trying to have complete control. Intern or volunteer if needed to gain more insights. This can be a low-cost, high-value strategy to build your expertise.
Be Part of Something Bigger
Find communities, groups, or networks related to your industry. Join them and be active. This helps you understand industry trends and connect with like-minded people, giving you valuable insights and support.
Step-by-Step Implementation
- Reflect on your past job experiences.
- Read or watch content from successful people in your industry.
- Make a list of common mistakes and strategies to avoid them.
- Identify and reach out to potential partners.
- Volunteer or intern to learn more.
- Join relevant communities or networks.
By using these small, actionable steps, you'll be setting a strong foundation for success without needing a big budget or a lot of time.

working for other people prior to having my own business if I had not done that I do not think I would have been able to succeed as I had because I had models of what good looked like I watched them fail I got to learn from their experiences I got to watch them make mistakes and then not make those for myself I want to be part of a something big I want to be part of a team and like I've actually accepted that maybe to get to my goals of where I really want to go I'm going to have to take on more partners and I'm going to have to have less of a stake in what I own it's almost like losing freedom in order to gain your goal I'm never afraid to do that and I think in the beginning when you're starting out I think the goal should be to learn not to have the ultimate amount of freedom
