How To Take Action

I would suggest implementing a few key strategies to help you take risks and bet on yourself, even without a perfect mentor.

Start by understanding that it's okay to not have all the answers. The first step is to stop waiting for the perfect mentor. Instead, take action now. A good way of doing this is to list small, manageable risks you can take each day to move towards your goal. This could be something as simple as reaching out to potential clients, trying a new marketing tactic, or launching a test version of your product.

Next, when you feel stuck, consider the worst-case scenario. Ask yourself, "Can I handle this if things don’t go as planned?" Often, you'll find that the risks are not as scary as they seem. This mindset shift allows you to move forward without fear paralyzing you.

Also, practice self-reliance. Build confidence by acknowledging and celebrating each small win along the way. Reflect on what you’ve learned from both your successes and failures, and use those lessons to inform your future decisions.

Lastly, prioritize continuous learning. Instead of waiting for a mentor to teach you everything, invest time in reading books, listening to podcasts, or attending webinars related to your field. These resources are often low-cost or free and can provide valuable insights.

By taking these steps, you'll be betting on yourself, managing risks, and foster growth without waiting for someone else to give you permission. Remember, the key to success is taking action and learning along the way.

what a lot of people look for in a role model or a mentor is reassurance you can either wait months or years to find this magical unicorn that's going to tell you what to do how to do it and that they're sure it's going to work or you can take a risk and you can bet on yourself and so what I did in that moment is I bet on myself and I said you know what I can manage the worst case if this doesn't work out and I'm okay with that I would be less okay with not taking a chance at all
