it wasn't until my sixth arrest the feeling I had in that moment was this intense dread because what did I have to do I had to walk downstairs and see my family who I hid all of these things from and my dad was there waiting for me and instead of punishing me and he just said you're grownup by now but I'm just afraid that if you keep doing this you're going to kill yourself I had been doing all these things not to feel these emotions not thinking of the consequences they had and how they affect my life in the long term you know what does it look like 5 years from now if I continue down this road what's the likelihood I do get into a crazy car accident that I do overdose on a drug or that I drink myself to death in a hospital and I just thought to myself I hate this version of myself I hate it and that was the moment that everything changed for me and I said this is no more I don't care how painful it is to figure out how I get out of this I have to
