No… It’s Not True 🤦♀️
Summary
- Sometimes, it's easy to assume people know our story just because we've shared bits of it.
- I posted about freezing my eggs but didn't clarify, leading to confusion and people congratulating me on having a baby.
- This taught me the importance of being clear and not assuming everyone follows every update.
- When things go wrong or there's a misunderstanding, it’s common to feel bad for a while.
- It's okay to make mistakes and feel embarrassed; these feelings are temporary.

How To Take Action
I would suggest implementing these easy and impactful strategies:
Be Clear with Your Communication: Always make sure your messages are clear and precise. Whether sharing a personal story or business update, don’t assume everyone knows the full context. This prevents misunderstandings and ensures everyone is on the same page.
Check Your Assumptions: When sharing updates, remember that not everyone follows every piece of content you post. Make your communication inclusive by providing context, so no one feels left out or confused.
Acknowledge and Correct Mistakes Quickly: When things go wrong, acknowledge it swiftly and correct any misunderstandings openly. This builds trust and shows that you’re approachable and responsible.
Embrace Embarrassment and Move On: Understand that mistakes and feelings of embarrassment are temporary. Don’t let them hold you back. Learn from them and keep moving forward with your goals. Mistakes are part of growth.
Consistent Updates: If you share parts of your journey, like a personal or business milestone, keep your audience updated regularly to avoid confusion. This helps in maintaining engagement and understanding.
Reflect Before You Post: Spend a little extra time reflecting on your post before sharing it. Think about how someone who hasn’t been following you might interpret it. This small step can save you from bigger misunderstandings later on.
These strategies are straightforward, low-cost, and can be done immediately. They’ll help you communicate more effectively, manage misunderstandings, and grow personally and professionally.
