People Want You To Do Well Just Not Better Than Them
Summary
- People support your dreams when you're struggling, like when I was sleeping on the gym floor. They cheer you on when you're chasing your goals.
- Once success comes and you start thriving, like when I had hired staff and a manager within 9 months, the same people may not be as supportive.
- I learned that people often want to see you do well, but not better than them. This realization can be jarring but is important to understand in life.
- It's vital to stay grounded and remember that some people might change how they see you when you succeed.

How To Take Action
I would suggest implementing a mindset where you are prepared for how people might change when you achieve success. Understand that some folks are thrilled to cheer you on as the underdog, but might not be as supportive when you start winning. This awareness can help you stay grounded and maintain genuine relationships.
A good way of doing this is by setting clear boundaries with others based on your values and goals. Keep in mind that maintaining self-confidence and focus on your aspirations is essential, regardless of external perceptions. Reassess your goals regularly to ensure you're aligned with your purpose and do not alter them due to others' changing attitudes.
Another practical tip is to build a support network of like-minded individuals who can provide encouragement and constructive feedback. This network can consist of mentors, fellow entrepreneurs, or trusted colleagues who understand and respect your journey.
Lastly, embrace humility throughout your progress. Regularly practice gratitude for the people and opportunities in your life. This attitude not only keeps you connected to your roots but also reinforces your integrity in all interactions. Recognizing and appreciating the growth stages you undergo will cement your resilience and leadership foundation.
Incorporating these strategies helps you navigate the complex landscape of personal growth while maintaining your authenticity and drive.
