Preparation Eliminates Anxiety

Summary

  • To manage anxiety, I prepare thoroughly; this ensures I perform well without stress.
  • Many people face anxiety because of a lack of preparation, and this reaction is justified.
  • If I prepare to the fullest, I can assure myself that any outcome is acceptable because I've put in the effort I'm content with.
  • It's crucial to genuinely evaluate your effort when no one's watching and be honest with yourself about your dedication.
  • Being truly satisfied with the effort you've put into preparing can make you resilient to challenges.

How To Take Action

I would suggest focusing on preparation to handle anxiety. If you're starting a business or looking to grow personally, take the time to plan. When you're really prepared, you'll feel less nervous. That means studying your field, practicing your skills, and planning for different scenarios.

Here's what you can do:

  • Set aside time every day to learn more about your business or personal growth area. Even 20 minutes can help.
  • Practice your skills as often as you can. If you're learning sales, role-play with a friend. If you're building a product, test it out and make it better.
  • Think about what might go wrong and how you'll handle it. This way, you won't be surprised.

Be super honest with yourself. When you work alone, ask if you're really doing your best. It's easy to say we're trying hard, but really think about it. When nobody's watching, that's when it counts.

To be resilient, you need to be okay with the effort you've put in. If you've done your best, you'll be ready for any challenge. And if things don't go perfectly, you'll know it's not because you didn't try.

Here's the action plan:

  1. Identify what you need to prepare for – a business meeting, a new marketing plan, or a personal goal.
  2. Break down the preparation into small, daily tasks.
  3. Schedule these tasks into your day, and stick to them.
  4. After preparing, honestly evaluate your effort. Did you really give it your all?
  5. Accept the outcome, knowing you did everything you could.

Remember, true effort when no one's watching is what makes you strong!
