I made this mistake which I will never make again which is thinking that just because I love the topic that I'm talking about the speech is going to come out even better I still got to prepare you know because the reality is it's kind of like with content you know every once in a while because I love talking about the thing if I'm less prepared it actually can do really well and I've been rewarded for that before and so I thought maybe that would translate over to this speech which is like I wrote it I rehearsed it twice and that was it there's a difference between like reading a presentation and going on the script and getting it done versus like the art of playing with different pieces prolonging slides having jokes like all those things the artistic side was what was missed and I think that was because I was underprepared not because I didn't love the topic there's a certain amount of preparedness and a certain amount of admiration of the topic that if I pair those together it makes a great piece of content but if I do either one without the other it just doesn't get the same results
