Real Confidence Is…

Summary

  • Confidence comes from measuring success by the results of my work, not by external validation.
  • I gauge my success through metrics like business growth, improvement in relationships, and overall progress.
  • Much of my life and work has been behind the scenes, away from public scrutiny and feedback.
  • I believe that true confidence is built through the actions and decisions made when no one is watching.
  • I work tirelessly, every day, aligning my efforts with the mission and values I promote to my team.
  • This dedication to working on the mission and values is what enables me to confidently lead my company.
  • I respect myself more because of the continuous hard work and commitment I put into my endeavors.

How To Take Action

I would suggest implementing strategies that focus on measuring your success through the outcomes of your work. Here’s how to get started:

  • Set Clear Goals: Identify specific areas you want to improve, such as business growth, better relationships, or personal development. Make these goals measurable and attainable.

  • Track Progress: Regularly monitor your progress by checking key metrics. For instance, for business growth, look at revenue or customer feedback. For personal relationships, assess the quality of interactions and mutual support.

  • Work Behind the Scenes: Value the actions and decisions you make when no one is watching. These unseen efforts build true confidence. Focus on consistent, daily actions that align with your mission and values.

  • Self-Reflection: Reflect on your daily activities and how they contribute to your overall goals. This helps you stay aligned with your values and mission, boosting your confidence in your abilities.

  • Build Respect for Yourself: Continuously commit to hard work and dedication. The more you respect the effort you put into your endeavors, the more confident you’ll become in your leadership or personal growth.

  • Avoid External Validation: Depend on your internal metrics for validation rather than seeking external approval. This self-reliance strengthens your confidence and keeps you focused on meaningful progress.

  • Align Efforts with Mission: Ensure that all tasks and decisions support your core mission and values. This alignment enhances your sense of purpose and direction, making your work more effective and fulfilling.

By focusing on these low-cost, high-value strategies, you’ll build confidence through measurable success, continuous effort, and alignment with your values.

where do you think you generate real confidence all I had to measure my success was the result of my work did the business grow did the marriage get better did the Friendship get better that is how I've lived my life because for so much of my life until recently everything I did was behind the scenes and I do think I got lucky in a way I mean maybe because some people start off under the camera for everything or getting a ton of outside feedback I didn't get any feedback the decisions that I make that I will never be caught on camera that no employee will ever hear of how do I measure those things and am I putting in the work to actually increase the measurement in the direction I want to go the reason that I feel like I can show up for my team even is because I know that I truly work every hour of every day on the mission and under the values that I preach to them and people ask all the time they're like how are you so confident in running this company the reason that I have confidence is because of the things I do when nobody is watching that then make me respect myself more
