Remember Why You Started

Summary

  • Interacting with more people takes more energy, so be ready and know why it's important to you.
  • I spent six and a half years behind the scenes before deciding to make content.
  • The reason I started making content was that I wished I had someone like me to look up to when I started 10 years ago.
  • If I can inspire just one person, it's worth it.
  • Always remind yourself why you started in the first place.
  • Don't expect things to be easy—anything worthwhile is hard.
  • Understand that you will get used to it over time.

How To Take Action

I would suggest implementing some of these strategies and lessons to grow your business or work on personal growth.

  1. Know Your "Why": Understand why you started your endeavor. Whether it’s to inspire someone else or fill a gap you saw, keep that reason clear. Write it down and put it somewhere visible, like your desk or mirror. This will act as a daily reminder to keep pushing forward.

  2. Expect Hard Work: Good things don’t come easy. Prepare yourself mentally that you will face challenges. Set small, achievable goals to keep you motivated. Celebrate each step forward, no matter how small.

  3. Energy Management: Interacting with more people will take energy, so be mindful of your limits. Plan your interactions when your energy levels are highest. Maybe that’s early in the morning or after a good break. Take time for self-care to recharge regularly.

  1. Consistent Exposure: Over time, you will get used to the increased interaction and the effort it requires. Start by gradually increasing your exposure. For instance, if you want to make content, start with a post a week and slowly increase as you become more comfortable.

  2. Be Patient: Remember that success and comfort with new situations take time. Don’t rush the process. Trust that with dedication, you will get more comfortable and proficient.

  3. Seek Inspiration: Just like I wanted someone to look up to, find or become that person for someone else. Follow mentors and role models online who motivate you. Their journey can provide useful tips and encouragement for your own path.

Implement these steps with intention and patience. You got this!

I think that any anything that you do where you interact with more people it's going to take more energy from you and the more you expose yourself to more people the more it's going to take energy from you so you have to be really committed to why it's important to you you know for me I was behind the scenes for 6 and a half years and the reason that I was like you know what I'm going to start making content doing all stuff is cu I was like I wish that I had had me 10 years ago when I got started but I didn't you know I didn't have anyone that I felt like I could look up to and I was like if I can just be that for one person that's worth it so it's like I think anchoring down to like why you're doing it in the first place you just have to keep reminding yourself and don't expect it to be easy anything worthwhile is hard and you will get used to it it just takes time
