The 3 Traits of Ultra Successful People
Summary
- I told an 18-year-old neighbor to sign a contract that says, "I want to be a millionaire." The deal was to wait 5 years without making any money first.
- If you delay for 5 years and focus on providing value to others, you can become a millionaire. But most won't do it, which is why many aren't successful.
- There's research on ultra-successful people showing they have three common traits:
- They have a superiority complex. They believe they're better than others and can accomplish bigger things.
- They have crippling insecurity about not being good enough.
- They have strong impulse control.
- Most people don't make money because they can't wait even 12 months.

How To Take Action
Action Plan for Success
Focus on Providing Value
I would suggest starting by committing to a long-term vision. Think about where you want to be in 5 years. Write it down. This isn't about immediate profits; it’s about building value. Offer your skills or services for free or at a reduced rate to build credibility and experience.
Develop Key Traits
Superiority Complex
A good way of developing a healthy superiority complex is by setting big goals. Believe in your capacity to achieve them. Surround yourself with positive affirmations and people who inspire you.
Crippling Insecurity
Use your insecurities as a driving force. Identify areas where you feel less confident and work diligently to improve them. Continuous learning can help turn these insecurities into strengths.
Impulse Control
To work on impulse control, start small. Create a simple budget and stick to it. Avoid unnecessary expenses. Practice delaying gratification by setting small, achievable goals and rewards.
Emphasize Patience
Understand that success takes time. Many people fail because they can't wait even 12 months. Be patient and persistent. Remind yourself that the work you put in today will pay off later.
Implement Time Management
Focus on time management to maximize productivity. Break down your goals into daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. Use tools like calendars or task management apps to keep track of your progress.
Cultivate a Growth Mindset
Adopt a growth mindset by viewing challenges as opportunities. Learn from your failures and keep pushing forward. This will help you stay resilient and adaptive.
Build Relationships
Network with others in your field. Offer help and ask for advice. Building solid relationships can open doors and provide valuable insights.
By implementing these strategies, you can build a foundation for long-term success without needing excessive resources. Stay committed, focus on value, and watch your efforts compound over time.
