How To Take Action
I would suggest implementing a "Praise over punishment" approach in your workplace. This will help build a positive culture where everyone feels valued. When you praise more, people are motivated to do their best. It's incredible how much just a bit of appreciation can uplift your team and make your business thrive.
A good way to be honest and clear during the hiring process is to talk about your company's culture and values from the start. Let potential hires know exactly what your work environment is like. If some people don't like it, that's perfectly fine. It means they're not the right fit, and you'll save time and energy by being upfront.
Make sure that anyone interested in joining your team understands what's expected of them and what they'll get in return. This means clearly stating your expectations and how they align with your company goals. This transparency helps everyone make informed decisions before joining your business.
Don't worry if some people find your expectations too much. It's okay to turn away those who aren't a good fit because this makes space for the ones who believe in your mission. By being genuine about who you are and what you stand for, you attract the right people who share your vision and excitement for the future.
