This Is Why I Don’t Quit

Summary

  • When I get frustrated and consider giving up, I remind myself that this moment is where most people stop, and that's why they don't win.
  • My personal mantra is, "I won’t do my best; I’ll do what’s required."
  • To succeed, you have to meet the requirements, which may be more demanding than your current best.
  • This means you need to keep improving until your best matches what's required for winning.

How To Take Action

Implementation Strategies for Success

1. Change Your Mindset

When you're feeling frustrated and thinking about giving up, remind yourself that this is where most people stop. This is why they don't win. Use this as a moment to push through and set yourself apart from the majority.

2. Adopt the Mantra: "Do What's Required"

Instead of saying, "I'll do my best," switch to "I'll do what's required." This means recognizing that what is needed to succeed might be beyond your current abilities. Work on closing that gap between your best and what’s required.

3. Continuous Improvement

Constantly work on improving your skills and abilities. If your best isn't enough right now, focus on incremental growth. Set small, achievable goals that will help you get better every day.

4. Focus on High-Value, Low-Cost Strategies

Start with strategies that require minimal money and time but offer significant improvements. For example:

  • Learning Online: Utilize free online resources, courses, and YouTube tutorials to gain new skills.
  • Networking: Reach out to mentors and peers for advice and feedback. This can often be done via social media or local events.
  • Self-Reflection: Take a few minutes daily to reflect on what worked and what didn’t. Adjust your strategies based on these insights.

5. Implementation of Feedback

Actively seek feedback and use it to get better. Often, others can provide insights you might have missed. Apply the feedback constructively to improve your performance.

Summary

This strategy boils down to pushing through tough times, adopting a more demanding personal mantra, constantly improving, focusing on high-value, low-cost areas, and actively seeking and applying feedback. These foundational steps will move you closer to meeting the requirements needed to succeed.
