I'm doing all this work but my boss is just running meetings and talking to people and doing these things before I had my own companies I was a phenomenal executor I didn't even understand why it was that people in management got paid so much more in order to be a salesperson you have to know how to persuade people but now if I want to be a sales manager I have to also learn how to train a team to persuade people the first level is that you learn how to do it yourself but the next level is you learn how to get other people to do it and this is why being a communicator is more valued in the marketplace and so if you're sitting there wondering I don't know I work more hours longer than my boss and I'm not getting promoted and I don't know why I'm not valued the same way this person is we need to look at objectively people are compensated to the level of skills they have and how difficult it is to attain those skills
