How To Take Action
I would suggest implementing the idea of learning from experts. It’s the fastest way to gain new knowledge since they've organized the information already. If you want to learn a new skill like Facebook ads, find someone who excels at it. You don’t always have to pay a huge amount. Sometimes, offering a small fee for their time or buying them coffee for a chat can go a long way.
A good way of doing this is by seeking out local networking events or online forums where these experts hang out. Be genuinely interested and build relationships. This way, you might even find opportunities for skill exchanges, which can be low-cost but high-value learning experiences.
Start applying this by identifying the one skill you most need to learn right now. Reach out to someone who is doing it well and propose a trade. Maybe you’re good at writing and they need help crafting emails. That could be your ticket to learning from them.
Also, focus on growing foundational skills like sales. Once you get good at it, you can trade your sales expertise with others who can offer new skills you want to learn. This approach saves money and builds a strong network, leading to personal and business growth. Seek out these barter opportunities—they can be gold for small business owners and entrepreneurs.
