Why You Need a Failure Resume
Summary
- Don't inflate your ego with a resume of successes; consider creating a failure resume. It helps you realize how many times you've slipped up but are still standing.
- Recognizing your failures keeps you humble and shows you that you can survive mistakes. This is crucial for personal growth and resilience.
- Adopt a mindset where you view challenges as win-win situations. If a challenge defeats you, it won't matter when you're gone. If you survive, it means you were strong enough to overcome it.

How To Take Action
I would suggest making a "failure resume" to keep your feet on the ground. Start by writing down the times you stumbled and what you learned from each. This helps you remember that falling down isn't the end. Reflect on how you're still pushing, even after making mistakes. This tells you that you're tougher than you think.
Also, practice seeing problems as no-lose situations. If you face a tough challenge, tell yourself: "If this doesn't work out, the world won't end. If I make it through, it proves I'm strong." This mindset turns scary things into chances to get stronger.
Here’s how you can start:
- Grab a piece of paper.
- Write "My Failure Resume" at the top.
- List the mistakes or failures you remember.
- Next to each, write what came out of it or what you learned.
- Look at this list when you're scared to try something new. It'll remind you that you've made it through tough times before.
- When it's time to face a challenge, breathe deep and say: "Either way, I win." It's a trick to remind you that you'll be okay, no matter what.
Follow these steps, and you'll see how tough you really are. It's all about learning from slips and growing stronger because of them.
